We purchased a 10.64 acre property in Rochester! There are three buildings on this property. One is a residence where the caretakers will live. One is a very large (70'x45') butler building which will be converted into cat apartments. The other building is a barn. The barn and a large area surrounding the structure will be the future outdoor cat area. We are going to concentrate our efforts on renovating the butler building first. We have an architect that will be drawing up plans for this renovation. If all goes according to plan, we hope to open the Ranch in January.
The Forever Home Feline Ranch started as a concept of a sanctuary to reduce the number of healthy cats euthanized in shelters. The board of directors and a group of very dedicated volunteers were able to articulate this concept in such a way that engaged the community in a very big way. We have gone from a new organization to Ranch owners in one short year! We would like to thank every one of our donors and supporters! This day would not have been possible without your support of our concept and vision. With a little more hard work, faith and financial support, the Forever Home Feline Ranch will be one of only a handful of feline sanctuaries in the United States. Way to go central Illinois!
